I’m wanting to remove my lithium batteries, and shut down solar in my 2024 E23 Escape. Dustin’s you tube video was helpful. I’m looking for confirmation from other 2024 E23 owners, that simply turning RED battery switch to off, and turning DC and Solar breakers to off will allow me to safely remove batteries and store indoors for winter here in Denver area. Also, since I don’t want my batteries charge to drop below 50%, should I hook them to a Lithium Trickle Charger. Thank you

Regarding your last question, lithium batteries aren't harmed by dropping below 50% the way lead-acid batteries can be. And they don't usually lose charge as much or as quickly as a resting lead-acid battery; typically if you store them for 3 or 4 months I don't think they would drop more than about 5%, if that. A trickle charger should not be necessary.

Yeah, if lithium batteries are disconnected from any load, they won’t discharge for years. No trickle charger, that could do more harm than good.

I did have a portable lithium 'jump starter' a while back from a company called Lion Energy, and the unused device would go flat in 3-4 months' time. Obviously defective. I called their customer service and the rep told me that was normal and there's nothing wrong with it. :nonono: (Yeah, right... any bridges for sale?) I'll never buy another Lion Energy product. (Maybe they misspelled the name... should've been Lyin' Energy, perhaps?)

OP, I hope you get some specific replies from 2024 21' owners concerning your other question! :)
