How about an IBM 360-20 computer? We send msgs via that computer and it would do 1800 wpm sending, 900 or so when sending and receiving. I feel like I'm as old as dirt when I think about things like that. BTW, that was Naval Communications and that computer was huge!

I also remember tearing those teletype machines apart just to see how much garbage was on them that wasn't needed to work. That's the government for ya! I remember sitting there and seeing just the a skelton of the machine work like nothing was missing. lol
