New member from Wisconsin. My wife Ellen and I ordered a 19 a few days ago with completion on March 22. Your forum has been a great help though I've only lurked a few weeks. My haul vehicle will be the 3.6 liter Chevy Colorado Z71. The tow package is a 7000# setup but not sure whether additional hitch considerations will be in order. Looking forward to our eventual trip to BC.

Great to have another Wisconsinite here. I hope you can come to the Mississippi Rally in September. The wonderful couple who is buying our 17 is from Wisconsin too, so we just keep adding us up!

Welcome to the forum. According to my records there are now eight Escapes in Wisconsin with three more on order. I am including yours Eric so you get to be counted twice. Gerda that is quite an increase from May of 2010 when they unloaded numbers one and two off the trailer in Sault Ste Marie, ONT.

If you look at the map there is a whole nest of them in the far South Central portion of the state. Not sure this forum has them all on its map.

Congratulations Bruce. You'll be able to tow the 19 with your Colorado without using any WDH, but many have added it because it makes towing that much more stable.

LTD baby! If there were any graphic on our trailer it would be that:thumb:

Happy trails!

Welcome, and congrats on your order. :)

I agree that you should be just fine safely towing without a WDH. This is something you can add later if you ever feel the need.

So you were the one that snatched up the last March date. Congratulations!! Enjoy the time of building your build sheet! The costumer service at ETI is awesome!

It was Gerda and Eric who got us going on our first Escape which was the first in Iowa. Now there have been at least half a dozen. They are definitely multiplying!

Always good to have more Escapes in this part of the world. Hope you will come join us at the Rally in Sept!

Bruce, I do have to warn you, there is this one guy from Iowa who will come up with contests to try to take all your beer away. He'll probably show up on this thread sooner or later.... Don't be fooled by his suave smooth talkin' Iowa prose

I really shouldnt be going smoother with the 46 that would be trouble. In fact after I spend all this money for the Escape I need to down grade my whiskey further.

Given the prices we pay for whiskey around here, that Maker's 46 does not sound too bad at all. I pay about that and more for most of the whiskies in my cabinet.

Since this has devolved into a whiskey discussion Jim, what's your preference for a decent single malt? By decent I mean something under $75 here, like a Balvenie Single Barrel, or a Laphroaig....

Both of those are good distilleries. I have a bottle of the Balvenie Doublewood 12 in the cabinet right now, and have tried many of the Laphroig's which are one of my favourite whiskies. Only a couple weeks ago I finished of a bottle of Quarter Cask.

I bought a bottle of Laphroaig PX cask coming back from Mexico a couple years ago, that I would absolutely love to get my hands on again. It is only sold in duty free shops unfortunately. It has and incredibly enormous taste that lingers for a long time on the palate. The last couple times going through duty free, the once had the QA cask which I bought, but it never measured up, and the other times no Laphroig at all.
