Others advice is sound. Know the law, abide by it, and tell the truth. Zero problems.

When you apply for a concealed weapon permit your information goes worldwide on various law enforcement computers. Thus when you give them your tag info it comes up on their screen, the same for a routine traffic stop. They know you have a permit and may be carrying, thus the 3rd degree and they want to see if you lie about anything.

I had a concealed carry permit in NH before I moved to Florida in 1985, and have one in Florida and have NEVER been asked any such question at the border, only "Do you have any weapons?"

From a previous discussion:

1/2"-20 is the nearly universal thread for wheel studs in this capacity range of trailer axles. That's 1/2" diameter, 20 threads per inch.

The correct wrench size for nuts with this thread would typically be 13/16", but a 21 mm socket usually fits adequately.

But of course, Escape can confirm or correct this.

Here is a link to the Dexter Torflex Axle which I believe is used on the 21'.

Wheel nut is as Brian thought, 1/2" -20 Thread per Inch. Quite standard for trailer axles...

... Escape uses the Torflex #10, which includes the 3500 pound capacity (per pair) hub group, with 5 on 4.50 bolt pattern and electric brakes.

The Cerka diagram looks like some version of the one from the application catalog from Dexter Axle, with their version of the parts list with Cerka part numbers. (If looking for parts from other suppliers, use the Dexter part numbers.) Dexter offers some variations, so not all of them are the common configuration (thus the several bolt patterns), but in this case it looks like there's only one stud choice, so that's clear now. Other Dexter hubs have at least a choice of studs versus threaded for bolts, but we know Escape doesn't use those.

I don't bother myself, but found that you can run the safety chains through the propane tank handles and padlock them.

...and that is what I do. Not perfect, but convenient and better than nothing!

Doug Smith suggested the California Immobilizer and we bought one, spendy and a lot of piece of mind...our trailer is parked in our driveway in Seattle. It isn't going anywhere. The company is in Nanaimo, BC and the owner delivered to ESCAPE for us so it was there for pick up at orientation...just remember to take it off before you start to drive away..haha...we almost left it on last week!

Hello Rubicon.
Thanks for the tip regarding lock for propane tanks.Used a fat plastic coated cable with padlock on my 17.This is tidy and slick.
Also used Torklift batterybox on my 17, on the tongue, room for two six volts.
Loved it.On our 21 the batteries are inside rear bench in u-shaped dinette.
Seems that I can pick up the lock at western travel trailer sales in Lynden WA.
Will get them on our next trip down to the U.S.

I like the Tork Lift propane lock but they come in two sizes based on the size of the threaded rod - 1/2" or 3/8". I don't have my 19' 2017 yet (only 2 weeks to go...), does anyone know the size of that threaded rod holding the propane tanks in place?
