Looking to look through an escape trailer.

A simple google search for "Casita floor repair" or "Casita loose Rivets" or "Casita Trailer Leaks" will reveal much. You just don't see that with Escapes. No rivets. No OSB, and has drain holes. All trailers, as Donna says, may need periodic repairs. What you won't be doing with an Escape is repair or replace the floor, or hunt down which loose or popped rivets are causing the leak. Superior design was a huge factor in our decision.

They have a big RV show here every Jan. in Bartle hall. Starts 2:00 PM. A whole bunch of stick builts, various sizes of motor homes, a couple of Air streams, and some of those big diesel pushers. Went two years ago and it is very interesting. Lots of ideas. Back then we were sold on a Casita and went to their plant in Feb. Not to long after that we discovered the Escape online. Though quality was the deciding factor, a little extra room swung it. Plus lacked head room. I can't help but wonder if Casita will ever build a bigger trailer. Anyone know what size is Reace's most popular model.

Anyone know what size is Reace's most popular model.

I wondered about this last year when we placed our order, since the delayed completion dates for the smaller trailers at that time seemed to indicate a higher demand for those sizes. I added up the numbers on ETI's production calendar and found 132 trailers scheduled from February through December, 2014:

15-foot = 8%
17-foot = 24%
19-foot = 36%
21-foot = 14%
5th wheel = 17%

However, this isn't the final story. Production was increased during the year (and we were able to get our date moved forward). In retrospect, those early numbers probably were more an indication of anticipated demand, rather than the actual number of orders that would result.

ETI stopped publishing production numbers on their website, however, so this is analysis is no longer possible. Also, I suspect production plans may be influenced by trailer profit margins, which should favor the larger sizes.

You may be right that the margin is a bit higher on the larger trailers, but I'd say its minimal. In talking to Reace what I do know for sure is that the larger trailers are MUCH easier to build.

With the price difference of only $1500 between the 19 and the 21 and the accessories mostly the same price, that also made it a quick decision. Cathy said if the difference would have been 6 or 7 thousand dollars then it would have been a different story. And I never thought of it that way but the larger the interior, the easier it would be to work in there. Loren

That probably explains why they no longer make a 13-footer. It's a bit of a contradiction, since I see a lot of interest out there for smaller trailers, as evidenced by the attention given teardrop and retro "canned ham" trailers.

When we picked up our 17B, production had just recently started on the 15'. Reace said that they were discontinuing the 13' for 2 reasons, more people were interested in the new 15', and the 13' was by far the hardest trailer to build.
