Hello,
New to the forum as a member, but have been watching and learning for a little over a year now. My name is Ann and my husband and I put down our deposit for an Escape in August of last year after stopping by the factory to decide on the model we thought we wanted. I had totally ruled out the 21c because of bed size. But when we got to the factory we knew the 21c was the one that would suite us best.
We were waiting to put down our full deposit until this spring, but did a fast track under the advice of Shawn and Linda at Escape due to the Tariff window. So glad we did.
We have looked many times at Casitas. We really wanted one, but were heartbroken to realize we couldn’t come close to fitting our family in one. We bought a tent trailer instead with a 17ft box and kept it for over 10 yrs. It popped out to about 24 feet when open, had a tip out and bathroom. We had a real system down for set up, but once the kiddos moved out, we just didn’t want to set it up anymore.
We then thought, “yeah, maybe a Casita could work for us now. So, we looked again. We really liked the idea of fiberglass trailers in general, but after being in a large pop up with plenty of room and fresh air, we just couldn’t wrap our minds around the Casita.
I bought a 1984 Fleetwood Prowler in 2020 as a project. Completely tore it down to the studs and rebuilt it, from electrical to seat covers, I did it all. But, we just didn’t like the way it pulled. And, some parks don’t actually allow older trailers like that. So we sold it and the tent trailer and after a little research and seeing this forum, we found Escape. I love to Mod things up and look forward to making our new 21c our own. I have some fun ideas flipping through my head and I look forward to posting them here and on FB & Blue Sky. Just excited to take delivery and excited to be here to learn. Cheers all, Ann & Greg In Southern Oregon.
