May be a Escape owner soon

We started a journal for The Doghouse. I'm not the type of guy who rhapsizes over everything, but I think the journal will be useful for aiding my terrible memory regarding where we've been, what was good and what should be avoided in the future, tracking mileage and fuel economy, etc.

We picked up a blank journal from Lee Valley (Everyman's Journal - Lee Valley Tools) for this. It's a little large but does the job.

I keep all sorts of maintenance entries in my log book ( if you're a guy, it's a log book - girl's have diaries - not sure where journal falls ).
I have a lousy memory and, for instance, discovered that I replaced my house battery in the fall of 2011. Didn't realize I'd had it that long.
Also use it for "to do" lists, notes about places and people.
Really comes in handy.

the big melt has started here in the frozen north

here are the rear bumper and front rock guard photos

the padded vinyl just snaps on... not sure if that is an option but it has worked, it looks good underneath

I have a note book recording how many nights where and any camping notes. At home I have a note book binder with all the campground reservation sheets. I copied the idea from another camper.

Alan, I hope you get your Escape. We had a 1979 Surfside and loved it but alas it was hit by a drunk driver in Spokane and we were forced to look around when we discovered the Escape which is a nice step up. It tows as easy as the Surfside.We most appreciate the hot water but the extra storage and bathroom are nice luxuries. We need another Escape in Alberta.

We got it and it is great so far (it was kept in very nice shape)

We are getting the wheel bearings packed and everything else checked out next week so we will be ready to go in May when the snow goes. i think the outside shower for cleaning up the puppies is going to be great when we need it. We will be pulling with a Rav so a little more power that my little Ford Ranger

It is going to be really sad to see the Surfside go because even though we have only had her a few years there are some great memories
