I started to work on my plan on getting heat into the bathroom, it was close to 60 today so I spent some time in Prairie Schooner. I plan on installing a side vent from the furnace direct into the bath area. I removed the optional drawer under the closet/over the furnace and realized Escape finished off the bottom/top of the furnace with some paneling. Should have requested that it be screwed vs nailed. Then I went to remove the grill and realized it rotates, 180 degrees. I studied the area and turned on the furnace with the grill turned towards the front of the trailer, cracked the door maybe 6 inches and viola, heat was entering the bath area. I'm also thinking of drilling a couple of 1" vent hols along the "L" of the bath door next to the heater but want to check with Reace first if that is a structural joint and would the holes weaken it. That way the door could remain closed.
But in the interim, those with the new style furnace may look into the grill rotation and cracking the door for heat into the bath area.

Our temp trailer had 2 side ducts, one into the bath. We actually shut it right down as we felt we did not need the heat there. It was nice to use when we were drying things out in there though.

My name is Jim, and I am NOT a bathroom reader. ;D

You could also install a Watt's tempering valve and use warm water in the WC. It warm the bowl , seat and occupant.
You can also install an electrically heated toilet seat . My buddy has one in his outhouse and it is great in the winter when reading a National Geographic plus it prevents part of your anatomy from freezing / sticking to the seat.

Rigid Foam makes the best outhouse seats, that's what we use. Even in the cold of winter your butt cheeks immediately warm up. ;)

Seeing you likely sit, nothing. ;)
Yeah, I've tried that other way and all I did was end up with wet socks and filled my shoes.... I truly don't miss tent camping in the woods  I'm now a trailer camper (with a flushy) in the woods....

This thread is going down the toilet.

Okay... so Jim saw a problem and came up with a solution that works for him and maybe others. I think that's grand, truly. I guess I don't always see a problem that requires a lot of work to solve (for me!). YMMV

It most definitely is. Finding solutions to suit our own needs is always a good thing, and often fun too. :)

KISS or PITA

YMMV

How come you guys don't just install a toilet in your house? :)

I have 4 toilets in my house, but not plumbing at our land where the outhouse is. ;)
Hi: Jim Bennett... What do you use in the privy now that Eatons is out of business?
I'm thinking of investing in a candle maker cause when all the "Electric" vehicles enter the road system due to the "Diesel debacle" there won't be enough affordable power to light my lights!!! Alf
