I have looked at just about every one out there, and the Myson Whispa E50 is my favourite, with heat selection controls on the front, and very quiet during operation.

What are your thoughts on where to install this in your 5er?

I'm leaning toward putting it in the first step up to the loft. I'd probably have to cut into the bottom of the second step to get enough clearance in the back, but this seems to be a good spot. My only concern is that it not get kicked a lot when going up to the loft.

As mentioned elsewhere, it is to install it in the bottom step. This would mean that the step would have to be built wider. The grille is 20" wide, so I am likely going with near 22". I am going to confirm this Dec 19 during my Escape visit.

My thought was to have Escape run the 120V cable to a location for a line voltage thermostat, then down to the heater. Am now considering using a low voltage relay like Carl did though.

It may get kicked the odd time, but I imagine it is built to handle this, as even in the toe space of cabinetry, it would get some abuse.

This is great news! I'll let you figure out the details and I'll ndo it the same... That means I'm going to have to sprung for a car off beer if/when our paths cross. Or maybe a supply of my home roasted coffee if you prefer.

Yes the low voltage Tstat with a relay seems like a good way to go.
