We signed our build sheet today Yahoo it's done
We a few things from first thoughts This is in order from my build sheet
1-rotate stove 90 degrees
2-External fridge fan (living in Fl I think I need it )
3-2 way H2O heater
4-Exterior shower I don't know if I need this but got it anyway
5-12v drop over rear dinette for lights or radio ? just in case?
6-1 additional light over front belly band
7-1 additional sw for getting in camper light switch( should be standard )
8-dual batteries
9-run elec wire from microwave cabinet to battery location for future inverter to run microwave (maybe a 2000watt?)
10-160 watt solar panel
11-A/C
12-Camera drop wired to clearance light (to put in future camera in back )
13-Jack TV Antenna
14-toilet shut off valve (I put one of these in my Lil Snoozy )
15-Extra insulation and frame less windows
16-1 additional cabinet door under bed platform (easier access)
17-counter extension for kitchen sink area
18-storage cubby now standard
19-custom Formica Colorado slate thanks Spokane escape
20-custom fabric sapphire blue
21-1 reinforced wall w-6 by bed and bathroom wall
22-graphic color RED ( so we can be seen )
23-extendable tv arm
24- microwave install kit? ( buying my own microwave still not sure but wanted the cabinet door
GRAND TOTAL $37,630 cd
BTW I didn't get the Storage box ,or ext propane or the extra exterior hatch but we got everything else and then some Thanks to all the Escape contributors for making this a
Great buying experience .
I kept the trailer under 30k $US but with Tax and reg and delivery it will be a little more ?
Now we can't wait until Nov . I will try to go out again and do the walk through and orientation JIm

Its a light switch going into camper at night turns on overhead light from doorway along with light switch to turn on outside light .I did not get winterizing kit I live in Florida it never freezes down in SW Florida .Now as soon as they can export again I will wire money to them and wait patiently for Nov 2nd or so .

There is still room on Nov delivery to Goshen, Indiana and North Carolina talk to Tammy

Is the switch for an interior light not standard now. For some reason I thought it was.

My plan is to turn one interior light, as well as the exterior light, into a 3-way circuit so it can be switched at either the light or the wall switch. Of course, I will have to do this myself, I will just get Escape to add an extra wire.

I think it should be standard it was in my Snoozy along with all reinforced walls
There are good and not so good on every trailer The Goods far out weigh the not so goods IMHO. the option is $50 for switch extra $50 for inverter wire $25 for wires to cabinets .
I'm very excited to be getting an Escape trailer .When we first started looking we wanted
1-shower that we could use over 6ft . headroom that left Casita out no headroom
2-I didn't like the rivet idea with Scamp
3-Parkliner had way to many Mgmt. problems
4-Escape not many for sale on East Coast ( I messed up not getting a 5.0 in VA. we had no truck and I couldn't figure out the height of bed etc etc.
5-Egg was to sterile white and no bathroom door?
6-We settled on a Lil Snoozy Great little camper but we outgrew it with 2 Grand-kids and a dog
7-Finally a 21 Escape ( I still like the 5.0TA better but the Admiral didn't like Trucks .I think we got the trailer that will work for us I think we got most of the options .I will swap out or buy an inverter 1500-2000? and buy my own microwave I wanted the extra door .Hopefully when we get it home I will build a
sliding box /shelf for under the bed .and either have welding shop make me a front box or buy from Northern tool one of there's By having a smaller box and readjusting the propane tanks I will get a little more maneuvering ability out of the trailer ? Happy Camping Jim

Seems like this could be very useful for washing dishes and showering if camping where water is available but you don't want to fill up the grey tank too quickly. Seems to me; if you don't have it you wouldn't necessarily miss it but if you have it you can put it to good use on warm days.

Great idea!! I am also interested in the rear camera but am currently undergoing sticker shock from all the other items I want.

Seems like this should be standard also.

21-1 reinforced wall w-6 by bed and bathroom wall.

I'm curious about this option. Is the wall thicker or is there an additional or thicker face board? Does this add much weight? How much does it cost? I realize it is for adding a TV mount.

The reinforced wall W6 costs $100. I believe from what I've read that it's just a sheet of 3/8 plywood installed in the wall.

I believe it is 3/4",the same thickness as the framing.

I didn't care for the way Escape mounted their microwave - looks kinda tacky.

An issue with those trim/mounting panels (which are the method normally used to put standard microwave ovens into cabinets) is that they are very large. To leave enough room for airflow though the louvers, they are much larger than the face of the oven.

The small brackets used by Escape leave the surrounding space for airflow completely free, so the cabinet opening can be closer to the size of the oven cabinet. In a typical kitchen or RV the mounting panel hides the edges of the opening and the interior of the cabinet, which are unfinished; since the Escape cabinet interior and opening are finished (using it without the microwave oven just requires a door) the small brackets don't need to hide anything.

Appearance is a matter of personal preference, but I like the Escape mounting brackets.

We do a dozen kitchens or so a year, and haven't used a microwave trim kit in 10 years s the are just too bulky looking. E just leave about 1/2" asking all sides for ventilation.

I'm guessing that was supposed to be "We just leave about 1/2" around all sides for ventilation"...
I didn't use a trim kit with my home kitchen microwave oven shelf, either; however, in an RV it's a good idea to anchor the appliance, not just have it sitting on a shelf. Escape's brackets secure the appliance while allowing the tidy and close spacing that Jim describes.

It's 3/4 between the 1/8th inch skins. It also doesn't completely fill the void in the 2016 and earlier designs as it stops short of the curves at the shell.

I was under the assumption the reinforcement was 3/8 so when added to 2x1/8 walls you had a little over 1/2" of solid wood. Adding 3/4" would make the walls an 1" thick of solid wood, certainly overkill for a lightweight trailer

Sure, but this is a modification to standard construction, and only used in selected areas. The walls are designed to be hollow, and 1" total thickness of a hollow wall is reasonable.

Without the reinforcing panel, the 1/8" plywood panels are attached to 3/4" thick wood framing, right? Then 3/4" plywood would fill the void in the wall (in the area where it is installed), which makes sense.

You missed my point, adding 3/4" reinforcement to a 1/4" thick stock wall would give you 1" solid walls, I do not think the reinforcement is 3/4" but is 3/8" adding to the stock 1/4" thick walls.
