Need advice on fridge insulation please

Hi all!
I am a newbie and have a 1989 Sprinter Lite 16 ft camper trailer. I am unable to find much info on it and trying to get as much as I can.
In particular right now I am wondering if anyone could help me with some answers about fridge insulation. I was wondering if I would be able to put a panel of relectix on the exterior door behind the fridge to help block some of the sun that beats down on it at some of my camping locations.
It has another vent area above the main exterior door. I will try to put some pictures of my camper for clarification.

Both of those vents need to be unobstructed for proper airflow needed by an absorption fridge. I can't tell what kind of fridge that is though. If you have a propane option to run the fridge on, it is an absorption fridge. You can "shade" the exterior vents, but don't block them.

BTW - this forum is focused on Escape fiberglass trailers made in Canada.............

EDIT - appears that fridge may be a "residential type" electric only / compressor fridge. If so, the vents are not really needed anymore (though some may disagree)

You can "shade" the exterior vents, but don't block them.
