Romeo came in the trailer today. It took a lot of cheese and crackers, but he wasn't nervous once he got in.

I was going to suggest just pick him up and bring him in. Can see that might be a bit of a problem

To all Escape dog owners, cover the entry step with an adhesive pad to prevent the dogs nails getting caught in the perforated step surface. We have lost several dog "nails" initially before learning this trick.

Our dog would not go in our trailer so the first night he slept in the back of the truck, (he is 90 lbs and we have a canopy). It was a cool night and the next day was rainy. The second night he was waiting in front of the trailer door, he came in and never had a problem after that.

I've always used a piece of indoor/outdoor carpeting from a runner, trimmed to fit, and secured by a few ties wraps using the perf holes. Just cut some slits and push the tie-wrap through. Replaced every few years when it gets grungy looking.

I picked up my 15A last week. My dog Daisy was reluctant to jump on in, but she is often a bit wary until she gets used to things. So I lifted her in, and after spending the first night in her comfy dog bed she didn't have any hesitation thereafter. I also made sure to feed her in the camper so she was actually eager to jump in after a couple of days.

Thanks for the info about the E2. I pick up my 19 in October. What is your tow vehicle? I have a 2020 Ranger pickup and I'm wondering about getting a weight distribution hitch or not.

I have a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. I really got the E2 hitch because I was new to trailer pulling and I couldn't find anything that specifically said I would never have the occasion to need one. At first it seemed complicated, but after I hooked it up and unhooked in my driveway a few times, it became pretty easy.


Romeo now loves the trailer. He must think that we have an endless supply of cheese stored there.

I could go without a WDH with my Tacoma and my 17B on short trips but more than an hour I would use it. I definitely needed it with my 4Runner and the 17B, With my new 19, I use one with my 2019 Tundra. it makes the ride nice and smooth.
