Hello, I just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself to this forum. My wife and I recently purchased a used, but "new" to us, 2010 Escape 19 travel trailer from an Escape forum member. We've never owned a travel trailer prior to this, although we've camped in tents in our earlier years, and we are just thrilled with our purchase. We have done a few mods (ventline power vent in bathroom, new awning, resealing all exterior windows) just to name a few. We are looking forward to many adventures touring the Province of Ontario, and have just booked a site at Riverside Park Motel and Campground in Niagara Falls for the Escape rally planned for September 15th/16th and 17th. Looking forward to learning more about these wonderful travel trailers from forum members.

Hi BigOz & welcome,

I'm a new 5.0 owner & not very handy, so won't be any help with your learning curve. However, I look forward to meeting you at the Wine Escape in September.

Happy camping!

Welcome Victor. Beautiful trailer. I know the early 19’s top to bottom. Let me know if you have any questions. If you are looking for some good mod ideas see the link below in my signature.

Thanks for replying and I will certainly be asking you questions about my 19. Fiberglass clam shell trailers were the only types of trailers that we were considering, and when this beauty came up for sale, we jumped on it.

Looking forward to meeting Big Oz and Lorraine at the Wine Escape in September.
One of our first rallies if not the first was with the 2010 19 we had at the time. Alf and Mary Anne prove to be the consummate rally hosts and we’ve returned several times.

We’ll have the free tarp again this year and advice for attractions at the falls and beyond that we’ve enjoyed, Hopefully some laughs and no doubt some great food and delicious libations make for a great time. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new.

Hello Dave. Just following up on your reply to my "Introduction" message where you mentioned that there will be a Blue Tarp swap at the Niagara Falls rally. Being completely new to this forum, and being it will be our first Escape rally, can you elaborate a bit about what is involved with a Blue Tarp swap. Thanks

At the escape rally in osoyoos they they have had a swap and give away deal on Saturday morning for some time. After I was out there the first time I asked our Host Mr Alf Stacey about putting down a tarp at the Niagara Rally where folks could set out camping things they no longer need or use. So for several years we have done that. First thing on Saturday morning folks stop by our Campsite and put down free stuff on a big blue tarp. At 8:00 AM anyone is welcome to walk up and take any items they can use. They often bring stuff along and leave it so for about the first hour or so the selection changes. If their items aren’t taken by someone, we drag the tarp over near the potluck that night and a little more stuff usually goes. What’s left either people take back or if I’ve got room I haul back
925 miles home and at the Mississippi River Rendezvous we put it out again and more new stuff shows up. At the end of that rally I visit the dumpster. What have people brought? Chocks, blocks, old Coleman stoves, ice climbing crampons, a volcano stove, a complete weight distribution hitch, a telescope, rubber boots, a few fish poles, little baskets for holding small incidentals, hand towels with campers printed on them, camping door mats and area mats, a new set of 8 inch grinding wheels, folding lawn chairs, a huge glazed ceramic potato chip bowl etc etc. about anything goes.
Hope this helps. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure
