Inside frig temps are only significant when ambient air temp is also provided.

Here's the latest.

Apparently the Germany plant was closed for 3 weeks for holidays. The last week and a half has been emails back and forth about installation methods and this and that. With an 8 hour time difference, it is difficult to get any quick results.

I was told this morning that the 'bosses' are flying to Germany next week to try and get this resolved.

Although I have backed out of this discussion, I have continued to push this through with Dometic. I don't expect to hear anything for at least a week now...if not longer.

What they have asked for is a bit more patience while they dig deeper to find a resolution....Please.

FYI, drilling holes in the freezer shelf helped to cool the fridge, however water in the freezer near the fins froze, water near the front of the freezer didn't, so it is not the solution.

As mentioned earlier, Dometic will resolve this and set things straight.

Thank you Reace. Your attitude to make things right is why ETI has "raving fans" instead of just satisfied customers.

At 8 AM Thursday (today)... 40.1° F inside fridge, 56.6° F in trailer... no fans, 4 dots on shore power all night, freezer compartment had been removed. Trailer is out in the open and it's a sunny day at 6700 Ft elevation.

At 3:45 PM inside fridge is 40.0° F, and it is 87.8° F in the trailer.
At 5:54 PM inside fridge is 39.6° F and it's 88.4° F in the trailer.

Previously, over a weeks' time I had my homeboy fans inside the 4.3 going great guns and placed in various positions. No significant changes in temps resulted.

Not to be a curmugeon, but is there anything inside the refrigerator and freezer? Even gallon jugs (with and without water) may make the temperature change? No one camps with an empty refrigerator/freezer.... pack the freezer full... loosely pack the refrigerator... then check the temps.

Refrigerator - Measuring Temperatures

The recommended refrigerator temperature is 37 degrees F and freezer temperature is 0 degrees F. Measuring the temperature can help determine if the refrigerator is working properly. Before getting started, remember that the frequency of door openings plays a large role in maintaining proper refrigerator temperatures.

When taking a temperature measurement in the refrigerator section:
Use a bulb type or candy thermometer that is capable of measuring below zero degrees.

Place the thermometer in a container of food or liquid that has been in the refrigerator for more than 24 hours on the middle shelf (or as close to the middle of the unit as possible) and leave it there for at least three minutes.

When taking a temperature measurement in the freezer section:
Use a bulb type or candy thermometer that is capable of measuring below zero degrees.

Place the thermometer in between two packages of food that have been in the freezer for more than 24 hours on the middle shelf (or as close to the middle of the unit as possible) and leave it there for at least three minutes.
Note: Taking an air temperature reading would not be accurate because air temperatures fluctuate any time the door is opened.

Remember to wait at least three minutes before reading the thermometer. If your unit is still set at factory default control settings (please see your owner's manual for specific model settings), the fresh food section should measure somewhere between 34 and 42 degrees Fahrenheit. The freezer should measure between -5 and +8 degrees Fahrenheit.
Download a free copy of the Owner's Manual and/or Installation Instructions.

After reading many other posts and doing extensive testing, there is no doubt in my mind the 6.7 we have is weak and the balance between top and bottom is wacko 'out of the box'.

All frozen veggies aside, when trying to determine the temperature of a closed system (aka door stays closed) with a remote readout digital thermometer inside, the manual instructions are irrelevant.
