Great, Oldtimer!

Our original due date was August 2016, but due to some cancellations our date was moved up a couple of times. With the improved birth control methods now used by Reace and Tammy, you may have a surprise summer hatching:)

Party?

Are you having a reveal party and if so are Escape owners invited? Bet nobody guessed I would know that term.

Well after a trip up to Chilliwack, listening to mommas demands n much banging of head :banghead:against house our build sheet has been finalized and sent now for the long wait till Sept 7 when we pick up our new addition to the family. Starting to plan our trip back after picking up our 21. Any suggestions would be great :):):):)

I recommend Utah David. It's on the way back too.

Arches, Bryce, Zion, Kodachrome Basin, Canyonlands, Dead Horse Point, Monument Valley, etc.

On our last trip up that way we did a more southern route (Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington) on the way up, and a more eastern route (Montana, Wyoming, Colorado) on the way back. We really loved Montana.

I cannot get enough Montana. I like all of the western states but Montana has been my favorite since I crossed it pre
Interstate days in 1969 with a Honda 305 Superhawk. And back three months later.

Brought a smile to my face picturing you cruising around on one of those Dave. Man, I'd love to have one in mint condition today. Worth a pretty penny. hqdefault.jpeg

Hi Robert
I sold mine after riding it 14,000 miles. Used the money to buy a wedding ring and got married 48 years ago today. And I married up, way up. Mine was Navy Blue. Had BUCO fiberglass saddlebags. 50 miles to the gallon on $.32 per gallon gasoline. Half helmet with leather goggles and glass lenses. Smokejumper White’s boots. Lee Rider Denim jacket. Burt Reynolds mustache and Adam Cartwright sideburns. Oh man I was a dude. That ought to finish the picture.

Mine was an uncool '72 Honda CL350, Magenta. The one with both pipes on one side so they could burn your leg really good when you were wearing shorts. Went over the handlebars after hitting a small deer who jumped from a gully in Settlement Canyon Utah. That wrapped up my motorcycling career.

You had me beat - never had the sideburns.

The thrill of motorcycles ended for me long ago but Terry, who started out with a Norton, in 1971, still has a Honda Goldwing. He loves our trailer, but was ever so wistful when he saw the guys on their way to Sturgis last summer.

As for traveling in the fall — what a great time to be on the road. Utah will have cooled down I think and the parks there are all stupendous. I’d think the big problem would be picking the direction you want to go unless you have lots of time and can take a route that meanders back and forth. Because there is Yellowstone, which might have a few less people in the fall, and the Tetons and of course Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park. If it were me, I’d want to see the fall foliage in Rocky Mountain. Thinking about your trip is reminding me that I need to start thinking about our next adventure.

Be sure to check in with your local tax office as to how long you have between crossing the Canadian border and having the trailer registered in Texas. Seems all of the Texas tax office's are different depending on which counter you go to but the one in my county said I had 30 days to get from Canada to obtaining Texas registration or face penalties. No exceptions! :(

Others have been able to get extended temp tags, registration over the mail, etc. but not where I live. I would have loved to have seen more of the sights on the way back but due to time limit, we had to skip a lot of beautiful places to visit.

Good Luck! :thumb:
