Hi everyone,
We recently found a brand new, still at the factory 2016 17B for sale. I had been watching the for sale ads closely here and on FGRV. I had subscribed to the "for sale" forum, so when the ad popped up, I literally pulled off the road while driving home from an overnight trip to Mt. Rainier and PM'd the seller on the spot. Then I contacted tammy at Escape to confirm what was posted. She emailed me photos and the build sheet on the spot, confirming that the price was exactly what it had sold for originally. I went to my bank the next day, and exactly a week later was pulling the trailer home from the border. It seemed like one of those things that was meant to be, as everything fell in place pretty quickly.
We took our first trip three days later, which was already booked, to Fort Flagler over on Puget Sound, near Port Townsend. Hopefully my pic will post below, as I'm new to this forum and how it works.
The trailer, which we call our Escape Pod (probably very un-original), is a dream. It came loaded with every option I think is available. Not what I would have probably ordered myself, but when the choice is driving all over the PNW looking at used ones or waiting over a year for a new one, I really wasn't going to complain.
I look forward to participating here, probably asking a lot of newbie questions for a long time! Thanks for reading if you made tithes far, and I hope to meet some of you out there on the road someday.
Best Regards,
Ron
PS- this is a really high res image, automatically downsized for this forum, and it looks pretty crappy here. Any suggestions on how to resize before posting that will maintain quality?
