New to the group - Deposit paid on E5.0 TA

Hi Folks!


After intensive online research while living outside the US, we recently moved back home to the Sierra foothills of California. We finally got to see a E5.0 "in person" last week and placed a deposit that same afternoon. Now we get to sit on our hands for the next 21 months (yes) awaiting delivery!


This will be our first trailer after a lifetime of tent camping - including 15 years with a Wildernest truck-mounted tent camper if anyone remembers those. Many years "camping" in sailboats as well.



I've worked internationally for the past 15+ years and am very excited to be back on the North American continent with time to travel and explore. Now if I only had a trailer for that...

I'm sure you won't have to wait 21 months. Build dates are getting moved up as Escape has increased production as of Jan 2021. I put a deposit in for a 5.0 near the end of December with a build date of July 27 2022. I got an email about about my build date (earliest) as of December 10 2021. I knew I'd be moved up,just didn't know how much. I expect to get moved again....as they get used to new production schedule

You'll find that many, many of us had the same route camping: tents, more tents, then an alternate (for us it was a tent trailer), then finally an Escape. There's even one owner who describes it perfectly in his trailer's name: "Past Tents" (Thanks, Robert (Rbryan4)).


Questions: ask away. We even have the right answers some times. And by the third or fourth page of a thread, you get tales of great adventures and food discussions.
