Newbies to Escape

We just signed for and are expecting delivery of an Escape 21 in May 2015. After owning a 2002 Nash 19B for 12 years and facing two devastating leaks ($$$) we are looking forward to some peace of mind when we store and use our new trailer in Vancouver BC's generally wet climate (at least over the winter). We are looking forward to learning from other fans of this quality built trailer. After reading this excellent forum we expect to glean much valuable information from contributors (build sheet choices, space saving/use tricks, etc.).

Welcome. One of the same reasons we are buying an Escape. A water leak turned our beloved $5000 valued HiLo into a $1200 piece of junk. That and weight. Similar Airstream weighs 1000 pounds more. Escape doesn't dent or develop leaks at the seams. We are picking up our 21 in two weeks. Congratulations!

Since ordering our Escape 21 in September we have been eating up all the information on this forum and getting more and more excited with each passing month. Again thank you to all the forum members for the warm welcome and advice you have given us since then.

Doug & Eileen, it would be fun to meet up with you, if possible, when you pick up your trailer (maybe just go for coffee beforehand) and Herman & Carla we would dearly love to attend the Escape rally in Osooyos, but my life is complicated by an extreme sensitivity to the chemicals in artificial scents. This developed in 2008 after a chemical exposure incident in the hospital biochemistry lab where I worked. The new "long lasting" fragrances being pumped into the laundry products are my worst nightmare, as they bind to fabric almost permanently and so even if people don't wear scented body products or perfume, their laundry products often prevent us getting together unless there is very good ventilation Getting together for coffee at a Tim Hortons would probably be doable.


And congratulations Gae & Ike! I'm sure you are looking forward to your Escape and I hope you too are able to enjoy it for years to come. I am amazed at the lengths and distances people go to to obtain an Escape trailer. It is quite a testimonial to this product!

The Escapes do inspire great loyalty! Our friends who have Escapes have been very encouraging and with good reason. We will be so much more comfortable in a 19 footer and the construction will hold up under our use. I have so much confidence in this company (Reace, Tammy, Crystal and the others involved) because of the trailers they produce and the willingness they have to accomodate their clients. How often would someone spend $30,000 plus on something sight unseen? With Escape you can. Current owners are the real testimonial All the best to you~
