I saw a thread a while ago with pics of various Escapes that were built without the added graphic stripes. I tried the search function and didn't have any luck. I have a white truck and am considering no side stripes on my 5.0 build. Somebody had a white truck as well and I think a 5.0 sans graphics.. I really would like to find those pics ,thread.

I think the picture you are thinking about is Alf's truck and trailer where he added ETI graphics to the truck to match the trailer.
Pix I've seen of trailers without graphics all look as interesting as a brick of lard.

well that is your opinion....

my opinion is that a bare naked fiberglass trailer (Casita, Escape) look great "naked"

we owned both.

also it removes a big maintenance issue... as over time the stickers will degrade, pretty much for sure...

why bother with them?

just my 2c. :thumb:

That is true.

I chose a dark green and my graphics look great after 12 years. Some colours don't last.

Second here! My gold graphics started looking terrible within two years. Removed them, liked the look, and never since considered ordering replacements.

When i meet the driver in sheridan Wyoming there was a 21 on the truck with no graphics . Its not my trailer.Mine is the 19 with red graphics. but it does give you a comparison.

We are also in the naked trailer minority. The graphics peel, fade, and leave mismatched gelcoat. Plus, not Escape, many companies have graphics I don’t find tasteful. Yes they can be replaced, but that’s time and money that doesn’t help me travel.

X3, and when you don't live in the PNW and DO live in the SW, then Hunter Green or whatever will still muck up over time. Didn't someone post replacement graphics were $400 and then you had to pay someone to do it right? Na.

I peeled the graphics of our 2007 17B when it was about 9 years old. They were past their prime. The graphics are probably good for 5 years unless garaged all the time.

After some back and forth we ordered our 21 without graphics and actually really like it. Thought it might be too plain but instead we find it to just look clean and shiny. After having an older rig with faded and peeling decals we really didn't want to deal with the maintenance again. No regrets.

I'm really leaning towards naked trailer look. I like Tacchinos' look. Not crazy about the side stripes. May still have the "Escape 5.0 TA" applied though

I think they look a lot better with the graphics. I plan to keep my trailer covered to slow the effects of UV.

I'll see when I get there, but I think if I could get a number of years out of the graphics I might even replace them down the line vs. removing and leaving blank. But I'll have to see.

I don’t care for the naked look at all. We’ve got ours ordered with Battleship Gray strips which are fairly dark. We keep it under cover here in Texas so hopefully it last many years.

I removed my graphics after only a few years of exposure to the Texas sun and we could see where the graphics were from the color change in the gelcoat. A little compounding and time and it went away.

I'm sure that after a "number of years", that color change would be drastic enough that you would need to replace the graphics just to make that go away.

Of course you can always take off some of the graphics when you get it. I don’t mind the lines but I really don’t like all the swirls at the back. I did remove some of them to lighten it up a bit.

Gravity!!!

Hi: All... At one point we were more graphic and the pic lead to an ad campaign in Trailer Life Magazine. We were away down south when my bro called to say he'd seen our truck and trailer in the mag!!! I was really happy that Tammy liked the pic. :whistling: Alf

Brilliant, I do like the 'lightened look' achieved with a touch of simple selective subtraction :thumb:

(edited to add some playing with name graphics)
