Nylon tie straps, are my nemisis.IMO they shouldn't be used to tie up wires ect.On TT,that are known to travel gravel roads.I asked when my build sheet was in the planning stages. That there be NO nylon ties,in my build.Under the trailer, that are easily damaged by rocks & debris.Twice now 2 different trailers have had a rock ,leave my wiring ,brke lines dangling in the breeze.Lucky this time caught it before, the brake lines were damaged. The first time resulted in a large bill for complete wiring rebuild. When your in remote areas,it makes it especially hard to find qualified tech's to repair.Anyone else ,have experiences.

There are different grades of tyrap . The clear / white tyrap are made for indoor applications and are not weather / UV resistant.
Black tyrap are designed to be weather / UV resistant and are made for outdoor applications. The better grade of Tyraps such as T&B - 3M are made with a better grade of nylon and have a stainless steel locking clip. There is a large quality difference between good tyraps and the cheap ones from China along with a considerable price difference. As the old saying goes " You get what you pay for".
I have had the good ones last 10 years outside in the sun and the cheap ones not last a year.
