Option list change

Foot flush. Two reasons: When I rinse the tank I need a third hand to hold the valve open;

Or not.
Wet Ones container is perfect for holding the valve open, and you won't have to stand on one leg.

Well darn! I just missed those option offerings. I would have gone for a couple of them. :)
If you haven't picked up yet, call ETI. They might just change them without a "build change" fee as they are stock parts.

I take a lot pride in working for an insurance company as an adjuster and would never do anything to comprise my job. As a divorced dad, I am required to pay a lot of money for expenses that should be divided by both parents in my opinion. That said asking for cash discount is no different then the Dr accepting a discount from a insurance carrier, as others have pointed out. I enjoy this forum and I am excited about ordering a trailer soon. I just felt this needed to be said Hope to see many of you soon in the future

Spot on. Glad you said it.

By the way, you're gonna love going from a Casita to an Escape.

I can probably live without them. I can still bend over to flush, already have plenty of USB thingies, can buy a T valve if I need it, and can probably live without a $150 thermostat. Now, the power jack...we'll see about that. It might be nice but I always need the exercise. ;)

My buddy has an electric jack. Makes a heck of a lot of noise when in operation, but so do my joints, cranking by hand.

If you don't do the Dometic Digital thermostat the fan will not turn off until you shut down the unit. If you have it, the fan will cease when it reaches the set temperature. It's a different wiring harness so it's not easy to retrofit.

Aha. Well, my trailer is already complete. So much to learn...!

I have the Andersen hitch so to hook up: raise the trailer, back up to align the ball with the coupler, lower the trailer and close the coupler, raise the trailer and TV with the jack, attach the anti-sway chains, lower the trailer. That's a lot of crankin' and I'd get mighty cranky doin' it by hand. IMO get the power crank.

I find with our 19, the stock jack very easily raises and lowers the tongue.

How fast are the electric jacks Escape supplies, as the only one I have seen is on a friends trailer, and man is it ever slow compared to hand cranking.

An electric jack is on our debate list, but I have heard that some of them are quite noisy, Packing up early in the morning might sour good neighbor relations from the night before. Loren

Similar to those impact wrenches used to retract the stabilizer, sounds like a jackhammer is tapping on your trailer. Makes it hard to slip away unnoticed...

Never thought of the noise, that would be quite a bother.

I almost bought one at Princess Auto for $100, regular $250, but gave my head a shake. Why fix it, if it ain't broke. :)

The electric jack on our 21 is much less noisy than the one that was on our 19, they look the same but not sure if its a different model or not. I find it seems quick enough, certianly at least as fast as a manual one and maybe even a bit faster. this seems quite smooth.

....

Because I have a long-term back injury, one of the first things I did when we visited ETI was try out the hand-crank jacks on the demo trailers there. Result: as Jim stated, it very easily raises and lowers the tongue. So, we did not add the electric jack to our build list.
