Although the trailer may now be prepared for cold weather, there are additional steps needed to use the trailer in cold weather. We always carry a 12v blanket which we used at rest stops if need be. But with winter camping I always try to get electric hookups for using the electric wall heater installed as well as the heated water hose if there is water available. With electricity we use a heated mattress pad which I had in BlackJack but will not fit the queen sized bed in Prairie Schooner. So I found my heated fleece blanket and installed it under the TraversaK which also has to be flipped from summer to winter sides. In addition to stocking the pantry with some instant soups, grits, oatmeal for the morning meals.
I also winterized the Mustang, it sits under cover in the garage, and decided to install a battery tender for it's 4 month hibernation.

How about this for emergencies?
(These emergencies seem to happen almost every day around here.)
