Our Escaping Retirement

Hi all, we are Larry & Judy with pup, Sasha, embarking (no pun intended) on a new phase!
We’ve been camping and “scamping” for a few years, but not as much as we would like due to working goofy shifts and longer than we wanted. Now that we’re both retired, we decided that acquiring an Escape would make our retirement dream even better. We have FINISHED our build sheet- Major Thanksto this forum & making it all the way thru the “it’s Friday” thread-our plans/dreams are evolving.
Not sure of the “hatch” date, but will be expecting either a Merry Christmas or Happy New Year arrival!
We are hoping to make some of the rallies and be able to visit relatives around the country and feel that any questions we have will be answered on this forum..Thanks again!

It's pretty exciting that it's not too far away! I've been on the forum-learning a lot-more of a reader than a poster, but it'll be nice someday to put names and faces together!

Yay! Congrats!

I see by the info on the left that you listed the trailer as a 2017. Does that mean you're getting a 2nd Gen trailer? Or the 2016 style? There hasn't been any info released as to when they're coming out with the 2nd gen 5th wheel. Are you getting it this winter or next winter? That'd be cool if you're actually getting the 2nd gen style.

There hasn't been any info released as to when they're coming out with the 2nd gen 5th wheel. Are you getting it this winter or next winter? Yes, I believe we're getting the 2nd Gen. I watched the website for the updated 5.0 but assumed that they've been busy! We did go up to ETI and Krista gave us a tour-of the 21'-it had the new awning, windows etc-and I know we'll love it Sarah did say some measurements (shelves) may be different with the 2017 & that will be figured out later. I think we'll be after you in production and look forward to your pics-also you did a great job with all your photos and posting on your ETI visits-loved it!

oooo, the 2nd gen 5th wheel! You'll have to keep the forum posted about that, as you hear back from ETI on it. I don't believe anything has been posted as to when they'll have a demo model, much less when it goes into production.
