owner's map..

"Boatload" is finite, wherein "schwack" is not.
Not really, it all depends on how big your boat is, a canoe or a monstrous cruise ship.

I think the problem is that the link in the Owners Map tab at the top of the page is still the old link (and for some reason no longer works). Looks like Jim has reported the issue to the site administrators, so until that gets fixed you'll have to use the link in this thread to access the map.
That's not the only problem... what I reported was my experience with the new link provided by Jim in this thread. It is the new Google maps service.

I was sipping some Scotch last night, and thought I was in 7th Heaven. I think that place exists all over the world. :)

I never looked at the map all that much, but now that it's gone I find myself checking frequently to see if it's back up!

I'm not so sure there ... I'm able to bring the map up using the direct link on different devices, browsers and versions.

Something is busted between the form and goggle

If it's busted and the admins are working on it, I'd suggest no one ADD to the broken map. Otherwise, if the admins get the old one back... new stuff will need to be added AGAIN.

Been there, done that...

I don't think an EscapeForum admin is going to be able to do - or will need to do - anything to fix the problems. We're talking about a Google software issue, not a configuration glitch.

I THOUGHT maybe the Wayback machine would help, but that's a bust:

Page cannot be crawled or displayed due to robots.txt.

The problem is that the link in the Owners Map tab on the escapeforum.org site goes here: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msi...0703&spn=40.308782,57.919922&z=4&source=embed
This link does not point to a working map anymore.

The link to the map on the new Google Maps site is: https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=z9l1wJ_TQtsY.kR4VC3Z7DAR8
This is a link to a working map.

Once that is changed on this site, when you click on the Owners Map tab and the link on that page, you should get to the working map. That there are browser/device compatibility issues with the new Google Maps is beyond the control of the escapeforum.org site owners. All they can do is link to a working map.

Another aspect to this is I see that map has at least one listing that was sold: Kheiser in Bend,OR reported on 8/27(now in archived classifieds) that her 17B was sold to a family in Snohomish,WA. Not sure if this can ever be truly accurate. As a side note I remember talking to her as we bought ours shortly afterwards and was told she got full price and had 2 backup offers!

I see there is a link to the Owner's Map again, but the map is a bit messed up.

It kinda seems like it is in edit mode. Most of the owners do not have colour coded markers, and their names are not on the list on the side, other that grouped under 'Other'.

I tried adding a new marker, but it does not allow using a colour coded one.

Is there something wrong, or is it my computer.

I have partly fixed the owner's map - now EVERYONE gets to help.
(Directions written for Firefox)

Click the owners map tab
Click Escape Trailers at the bottom
Click Data under Escape Owners in the white box that will come up
I have added new column - model (may have to scroll right)
Find your entry - may have to scroll down
Add your model - PLEASE use ONLY 13, 15, 17, 19, or 5
Google maps will assign color based on this
After at least 1 of each model has been added I will assign colors according to the old chart
And while you are at it - update your name and description as needed

I am not a forum administrator - just trying to get things fixed

In your third step, I see no 'Data' button/label anywhere, nor a new column as in step 4.

I did find a new box for 'Model' when I clicked on my marker, and hit edit. Putting '19' into this box did change my marker colour.

The whole list of owner names on the sidebar is gone.

I have attached a clip of what I see when opening.
