I am still pouring over fabrics and more fabrics, 'til I'm crossed eyed! Oh, did I mention...I am definitely NOT a designer! I do want to try to keep the colors on the light side, kind of subtle beachy.

Vicki, here's the same pattern as I chose, but beachy colors.. I was considering this one as option 2. And it's $4 less a yard than what I bought.

Thanks Donna! I considered that one also, but finally chose 5608-0000 Seville Seaside. It should give me lots of options for pillow colors etc.

I feel so very fortunate to have a whole year to plot and plan and hoard ;D. And, since I'll drive up to Chilliwack with my build sheet, I can haul everything I buy up there too... if it's going to be a manufacturer installed item.

Vicky and Donna (and anyone else interested in custom fabrics), Tammy is correct in recommending double the amount of fabrics for patterns and stripes. Matching patterns is an art in itself to get the beautiful look you see in those Sunbrella covered chairs. And you can keep the leftovers for patching damaged/stained/torn cushions, make pillows or bond it to vinyl for placemats.

If budget is more of a consideration, a good tweed will work well at hiding small stains, does not need matching and is very durable. And make sure you get the poly-vinyl that Escape places on the reverse side of the cushions. This is great for turning them over when you/the kids/pets come back in from swimming or frolicking in the dirt.

You could also give some thought to making or having made some elasticized terry cloth covers for the seat cushions that would be removable, washable and good for areas when there is a lot of dirt (desert, for example). Wind blown red clay can stick to your clothing. So you can protect your good fabric with these and wash them easily.

I see a part time source of income Rosemary, once you get your Escape we may be able to order some of those terry slip covers, I'm a big fan of seat covers in my new vehicles so something like that would be nice.

Rosemary, you have a second customer here! In a fit of madness, I ordered a deep blue corduroy type fabric (albeit Crypton) thinking it will be comfortable and I can change the decor with lime green pillows, or R/W/B, etc. But NOT thinking of 5 muddy pawed dogs. Well, at least it's washable.. And thank heavens for the vinyl base.

I heard from Tammy this morning regarding the new 5.0 yardage:
Custom Fabric (Single Fabric $100, Additional Fabrics $50/each) 7m or 7.7yds * Please note fabrics with a repeating pattern will require the amount to be doubled.

I'm going to need to change my order for two more yards!! I've already fired off an email and will call EARLY Monday morning. As I've said, the Devil is in the details!

I've loved this trailer since the first one left the factory... that was January 12, 2007 and it was Ian's and Paddy's... it's been a loooong six years and eight months.

Now that the fabric has been chosen, the next important issue for me is the hitch.

What size would be needed? Is one brand better than another?
I remember at the Bluebonnet gtg,I was shown a hitch that pivots all directions (at least I think so). Also is a sliding hitch a good idea?

Just trying to help you all with my sewing experience. Although I could see myself maybe picking up some spare cash doing repairs to RV materials once I retire.

Jim, cpaharley2008, you and I might be able to work out a barter at some time in the future, some mods for some seat covers? Materials covered by each party, of course. I did love that teak floor you built for the shower...
