New owner here, picked up a 2020 21C today. Wife and I just came back from South Dakota trip in our Casita Liberty Deluxe and I received a call from a really nice guy letting me know that our bid was accepted.
Liked the Casita a lot, but more room was needed. Towing with a Ford F150. I do know about the stove recall and will be replacing it very soon. Saw quit a few mods over the years and looking forward to doing some of them. Best to all, happy travelling.

Welcome! We took delivery of our 21C last summer. It's a great trailer! Still making minor mods to mine after almost a year of ownership :)

Thanks folks, I felt that porpoising feeling when driving it home. That forward rocking feeling. Same when my casita wasn’t exactly level with the truck. Trailer shop recommended weight distribution hitch. Think I’ll try it.
I didn’t plan on this in March as I drive yo
Texas for some mods on the casita.
Guess it was just meant to be. Seller was 20 minutes away and I was thinking about a dedicated eating area and here I am.

Congratulations on your purchase, we hope you will have a lot of great experiences!

Regarding a weight distribution hitch- I highly recommend one that does not require you to unhook it prior to making sharp turns, like into a gas station or packing into a space. It may cost a little more, but IMO completely worth it.

Got the fastway weight dist/anti sway hitch with my Escape 21. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Towing is stress-free and smooth.

Yep, we have the E2 Fastway weight distribution hitch and love it. Easy to connect and you don't have to remove it when pulling into tight turns. You can also order it online if you didn't get one originally with the trailer, and not difficult to install.

Forgive my ignorance. What brand WDH has to be removed before tight turns or backing up? Don’t think I’ve ever run actress one.

I cannot find the brand, but it was one of the lesser expensive options that Escape used to offer. When we ordered our 21 back in 2022, we were offered the E2 fastway (which we selected) and a lesser expensive WDH and were told that when going into tight turns like you might experience at a gas station you had to stop and disconnect it prior. I don't see that Escape offered it any longer.

Certainly if you have a wide enough entrance and exit to has, like at a Pilot or Loves you would be fine, but there are a lot of instances where getting to the pump for me has been tight, so it's nice to not have to worry.
