Pine tree resin on solar panel

I usually grab a bottle of gasoline antifreeze (use it in my snowblower) from my garage. I don’t use it in fuel injected vehicles, just snowblowers and tree sap.

Pine pitch plentiful in the ADK's. I use turtle wax bug and tar remover..spray on wipe off...leave on longer for the hardened ...paint and glass.

They make a plastic single edge razor for use on paint and gel coat. It wouldn't be my first choice, that would be wax and grease remover that I use before painting a vehicle.

Maybe for gum & carpet, however for pine sap on clear coat (automotive or FG) working with soft goo is easier to remove safely with a cutting agent.

The OP did NOT mention anything about a situation involving "clear coat". Apparently you misunderstood the question.

It seems my neighbor's tree has dropped gobs of resin on my solar panels. Does anyone have any suggestions on removing the sticky stuff without damaging the panel. My first thought was a razor blade but I thought I would ask for help before doing anything to drastic.

Padlin hit the nail on the head. Alcohol is ALL that is needed. If you have never tried it just watch the video, it really works like magic with no damage to the finish. Nuff said.

Yes, lots of pine pitch in the ADK's. We used rubbing alcohol on the gel coat and also on the solar panel.
