Production Schedule

I received a slot of October 23rd when I put my deposit down. My confusion comes from them asking me if I want to move up, me saying yes, and them replying, there are no spots to move up to at this time.

Ok, I thought from your first posting that you were told that you could not be on the schedule at all. Moving up dates is a whole 'nother matter.

Movin on up

Hi William
Great to know you got your order in. I wouldn't worry but I'd call Escape and let them know you'd be interested in an earlier date. Tell the mid September would be good because the famous Eric Thompson and Fudge Brownie request your prescense at the Mississippi River Rally in Late September where there's free beer for any new deliveries from 2017. Right Eric? Right Jim Bennett? Norman is buying.

Yes he is. He will share his scrapple and beer. He's fond of peppers, zucchini and garlic. And Jalapeño Spam. Gourmet doesn't begin to describe him!!!!! Truly

I don't recall them using dates on their site, which is kind of weird when you have a site that changes information, such as the Delivery Schedule page. "Updated as of xxxx" should be on a page like this.

They have always had dates on their site.

I agree Tom. I just looked and it said this:
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
Please find below a list of available completion dates, which is the date the trailer is completed. Once completed they will be available for pick-up by scheduling an Orientation. Please note the following dates are available on a first come first serve basis.
(Updated 20 February 2017)

I hear you on this! I got the same offer and replied toot-sweet. They moved me up one week!

I laughed because I was hoping for five or six weeks! But I took it; one week is one week. It wasn't much, but one week worked better in my wife's schedule. I'm retired, she's not, so this was a win!

Good luck on future opportunities for moving up.

John, have you let ETI know that you would like an earlier date if one should open up?
Hi Eric - yes, I've let them know on several occasions that we're ready now for the trailer (build sheet signed off, etc.) and would very much like to be moved up. I don't see anything on the build sheet noting that, so I'll give them a call or send an email once again to confirm (they're probably getting tired of me by now!).

Several years ago there use to be a calendar you could go into on their website and see open dates and who was scheduled on what dates. Then things went crazy around the middle of 2013 and everything started filling up. Our first camper had a 3 month wait (and I thought that was long) and they wanted the build sheet ASAP after we put down the deposit.

I always paid the entire purchase price up front and let them know I wanted it ASAP, when there was a cancellation I managed to move up. Being fully paid they knew I was not going to cancel or change my mind. I also sent a lot of chocolate to Chilliwack.....:)

I forgot about that calendar. I imagine it could cause issue if they showed someone who got any kind of preferential treatment for whatever the reason, and someone else objected to it, when they have every right to decide any changes in scheduling especially moving folks forward.

It was a lot simpler when they made 2-4 trailers per week. :)

When ours got moved up last year (originally Nov 2017 completion date for the 19', now October 2017) Tammy told us there might be another opportunity to move up the dates again in Jan or Feb.. so I am guessing the increased production goal is still in the work.
Hi - I just talked to Sarah at ETI this morning. It looks like they'll have more information on any revision to the current schedule by the end of March or early April (when phase 2 of the expansion has been completed).

I'll be there, with or without my trailer, hopefully with. I'll even bring some of my own good will to share with other thursty rally attendees.

I did the same. Beside my CAD was sitting in a non-interest drawing foreign money market account, so I figured ETI might as well have it and be getting some interest rather than the bank.

And now the 19' joins the list.

and they're back!

Next Available Completion Dates:

Escape 17’ – December 5, 2017
Escape 19’ – December 6 and 13, 2017
Escape 21’ – December 11 and 21, 2017
Escape 5.0 TA – Additional Dates Available Shortly

I'm confused by the production scheule. I was sent a Email asking if I wanted to move up in the production cue, I replied, yes, I would like to move up. I was then sent an Email saying the schedule was full.

Just for clarification: I received an Email from ETI moving me up in the production cue, from Oct. 23 to Sept. 19. I was also offered the opportunity to move up even farther in the future.

Moving on up

That's good news. That month or so difference will make travel to and from the factory a lot more predictable and open up some route options in some beautiful country. We're looking forward to another eastern Iowa Escape. I'd rather pull Bozeman pass in Montana than navigate the two roundabouts coming into Mt. Vernon. And that is no lie. Remember the Mississippi Rally is the last weekend in September and would only be 80 miles straight down US30.
