Propane quick connect and grill

The fitting on the hose in the first pic has a Schrader valve down inside it. It is permanently crimped to the hose. and they do not make an adapter to take it to a coupler. Just throw it in the junk box and get a male/female hose like I linked to, whatever length you want, that one is 12 ft. and the Blackstone adapter, be sure and get the 90° version, there are straight ones and the hose gets in your way.

Don't waste time or money doing something weird to try and save the other hose.

me, I carry a spare 20 lb propane tank in my truck, and use that for my BBQ and fire pit. and in a pinch, I use it for the trailer if I'm running low(*). this way I can setup the bbq and/or firepit wherever I want, and I'm not limited to being within a few feet of the trailer. My fire pit in particular uses a LOT of propane, even on low.

(*) like, if my first tank is empty, and I've been running the 2nd tank for a few days, I'll swap the spare tank in for the first, and flip the dual tank regulator to the 2nd tank, so when the 2nd tank empties, it goes red again, then I can fill the 1st and 2nd tank, and have at most used part of one nights worth on the 'spare' tank that I use for the fire pit and/or bbq.

I'm similar but don't have a fire pit so an extra 10 lb. tank suits us. Also the same, we can put the propane stove or bbq anywhere and the spare is handy if we somehow get low on propane in the two 20 pounders but that doesn't usually happen.
