Quartzite... Is it too late?

As it turns out, we will miss both the RV expo and fiberglass rally. We’ll be arriving the week after all of the festivities.

Well I hope that doesn't come to pass. I'm hoping that some strict enforcement will turn the tide and smarten some folks up. But I'm not holding my breath when I see how some folks have taken over some areas with impunity.

I'm not a huge fan of RV parks or even some state parks that are quite crowded and staying on BLM land is perfect for me. I hope it doesn't change too much.

Agreed Ron, last year we spent about half of our 2.5 month trip on BLM lands and national parks and it was too beautiful!

I’ll post this on another thread, but if anyone has suggestions for dispersed camping near Zion and Bryce Canyon, I’m all ears. Our schedule is too fluid to make reservations anywhere so we are 100% winging it in February. I checked out Dyrt and there are several. Just curious if anyone has recommendations.

Eileen called the Yuma BLM and was informed that turning Dome Rock into a LTVA was a rumor. It isn't happening, although I have run into the "permanent" campers every year I've attended the February rally.

Nice weather here in Q'site, a real change from home.

The official count for trailer type shows that Casitas outnumber Escapes, but not by too much.

Only met a couple of folks from the forum. Don't know where everyone's hiding. If you see my BC license and rear storage box up on the ridge, stop by and say hello.

Ron I’ll be walking the ridge shortly to meet you.

Catch you all next year in the big Q. Zion is quite nice today.
