Removing Furnace Cover?

Is there any 'trick' to removing the furnace cover on an Atwood Series 8012-II furnace?

I believe that is the same model I have (see pic from internet). My trailer is in storage so I can't tell for sure, but it seems to me I just pinched/rotated that knob at the bottom to remove the cover. Wish I could be of more help here.

I recall there are little clips on the top, just lift and pull away from the bottom.

Yep, you're both correct. The clip, and then lift straight up - at least on mine.

Well described so far. Just turn the little plastic nub, and lift.........This video at 40 sec should be informative.

Thanks to all...

The little expander knob at the bottom was sticky and I didn't want to force it... made of light plastic & could break easy. Jiggled it back & forth as Karen & others suggested and it came loose.

Again, thanks a bunch... got to love this forum
