Hi everyone. For a long time I’ve been drawn to campers, travel trailers, boats and other small homes. Many seem excessively large and ornate, resembling a hotel room. Not my cup of tea. I prioritize function over form. I like small cubbyholes that allow a good measure of living untethered to civilization. Independence without bringing ALL the comforts with you.
It's a bit overwhelming, to say the least, how many options there are out there and how difficult it is to extract information, like features, build quality and price. Dealing with dealers is a pain and many are overworked or lacking in expertise. Plus, pricing seems hidden until you show up in person. Like it’s all a blind auction.
Lately my interest has evolved into an interest in living in, full-time, or for at least 6 months a year, in a travel trailer. I was lucky enough to stumble upon the Camp Addict, where I discovered an abundance of helpful information, including which manufacturers make the most dependable products. and that’s how I found Escape!
Not positive yet I’m getting one. Finances are a bit up on the air, and I’m still doing some investigation on a few other manufacturers, but, so far, the 19 looks just about right. My main concerns are how well insulated they are (4-season), what type of windows are best, using lithium batteries instead of the lead acids that come stock, and how difficult it will be to install a composting toilet with drying/exhaust fan. Hoping Escape is willing to help out in that regard.
So, hello everyone. Look forward to sharing knowledge, passion and experience with YOU. Cheers!
