I tried it a year or so ago just for ha ha's, works as advertised but very flimsy. My little MSR Microrocket isn't much if any bigger. Neat idea though, and the price is right.

I know a lot of people that have made and used this type alcohol stove. They do work not too bad, are light, and cheap to make.

Neato! This is the kind of knowledge to add to the brain bank. Ya never know when something like this might be needed, truly. Most of us have all the materials needed around the house or packed in the trailer.

The homemade alcohol stoves are of interest but for real cooking performance, I prefer my multifuel back packing stove.
