Slowwww battery charge

One should never leave a battery in storage without a trickle charge. It not only loses its charge but also calcifies the battery even to point of destroying the battery. I leave mine in the garage that never goes below freezing and has a small solar charger on it at all times. It will last a lot longer that way.

12 years and I have yet to leave a trickle charger on my batteries, they go through freezing temps often come winter, and I've never had a battery go bad. 8 years on my Starcraft's 2 12v Interstates, and so far 4 years on the 6's. There are many roads one can take to long battery life.

I'm not going to worry about the batteries. IF/when they die, I'll replace. My trailer is not at home, no possibility for a trickle charge and I can't lift them out of the battery box anyway. Freedom means only worrying about things that are worth it. Knowing my limitations, etc. and then following through is liberating.

We had the switch on our 2010 17B, but also had the dual 6V. I thought the switch was standard but maybe then it was only included with the dual 6v option. The switch itself wasn't listed as an option on our built sheet.

Eric we never ordered the switch either . But at least back then I think Escape put them in if you ordered the dual 6 's . Pat

So only with the dual 6's apparently. I had thought it was just standard on all of them by that time - guess not. Thanks for the clarification.
