Storage Box Question?

I built my own for my Scamp and E19 and was prepared to build one for my E21. But as a "returning customer" they threw it in for free. How could I refuse. :)

I never liked the "falling forward" look so I had it supplied uninstalled. I used wedges to make it more vertical. I like the look better.

There's nothing flimsy about it. Maybe appearances are deceiving you.

So, if you're handy you can make your own box as many of us have. You can buy a ready made box, they'll do the job but do look a bit out of place and clunky or you can spring for the factory box. Your choice.

Ron, I would like to raise the front of my 19 storage box to give a bit more clearance for the propane tank cover. What wedges did you use when you shimmed yours? Did you make them or find them someplace? If you made them, what material did you use? Thanks.

My E21C turned 10 last year, it has the cargo box, and I use the heck out of it. There's a plastic tub in the middle I carry tools in (hammer, battery drill-driver, hatchet, nail puller modified to pull tent stakes, a bag of heavy tent stakes, a ratchet and socket for the Andersen hitch, a breaker bar and socket for the trailer wheels, etc) The curb side has my plastic blocks and leveling wedges, the right side has my dirty water hose, heavy rubber gloves, and a short sewer pipe and some other grody stuff.

Hi Bob,

I made the wedges out of hardwood and painted them black. I propped up the box so the top was level and made shims to the angle required.

There's some flexibility in the fore and aft position. I positioned mine so that I could put a storage tube between the trailer shell and the box.
