Taking the plunge

The reds do seem to be the most often decal color, and since hubby is saying he wants a new red XTerra your will probably be too.

I'm very happy for you, she looks beautiful.

Escape can have the decals made to match your tow vehicle colour, or anything else ( maybe not your eye colour ). I just gave them the Toyota colour for my RAV4 ( black forest green ) and their decal company matched it.

The vinyl used for the decals can also come in reflective and that can be kind of cool. I'm sure Escape's vinyl vendor could supply it. Reflective vinyl can't be custom coloured. Just yellow, white, black, green, blue and red are available. The trailer will/would light up like an emergency vehicle. Very visible!

If you want a saying or a name on the trailer, should I have it sent to Escape to be applied when their decals on?

I contacted Escape and here is the result

Or, you only drive during daylight hours! ;D I do remember there were provisions in the Oregon Code of Motor Vehicles that allowed commercial trailers... think semi's, to use alternating red/white stripes on the bottom edge of the trailer. I think that may be due to interstate commerce....

I'm just waiting to hear what the default color will be for the new 5er. I hope to buy a white truck, so the color won't need to match (visual person!), I just hope it's a color I like...

That's called conspicuity tape, and it is required by the U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108, which is essentially the same as Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108. It isn't required for our trailers, but it makes sense to me to avoid anything that might be against federal or local rules.

Actual Owner

Well we just went from "want to own" to "actually own". We drove up to Chilliwack this Monday and after petting Ben in the lobby and our orientation graciously done by Dave and company we drove down to the border and hooked up to our new trailer at Bob's Burger's and Brew in Sumas (just south of the border) . I was very pleased with how well the trailer towed and how easy it was to handle. Here's a couple pictures of our new trailer nestled safely in our driveway.

Actually all Escape 19's have a bath, the Escape 17's have an "A" or "B" model. Not sure why they put a B in the description.

Our 19 on order for January has floor plan B indicated on the build sheet. Was A an earlier version?
