Taking the plunge

Believe it or not, there ARE owners that don't want bathrooms/showers in trailers. I'm not one of them, but can understand why they may choose to make that decision for themselves.

I believe we saw you guys going over the Deception Pass bridge on Monday afternoon; we were camping at Fort Casey for a few days and were out for a drive.

That was probably us. We took the Keystone ferry to Port Townsend. I'm sure we were the only people towing an Escape over Deception Pass bridge on Monday,

congrats! Is that a Weight distribution hitch setup? I was wondering if that was needed on a Tundra. Just curious. You are going to have so much fun!

I just looked at one of my early build sheets for the 21'( one of many) and it seems all of the build sheets have a B, originally, but later on once the VIN# are inserted the B disappears. Maybe a book keeping issue, but the final build sheet should not have a B as there is no 19 nor 21 "B" models. Could be carryover from the 17 A&B models.

Our 19 on order for January has floor plan B indicated on the build sheet. Was A an earlier version?

When the 19 drawings first came out, the fridge and closet were on the passenger side, with the kitchen on the driver side. I had sent Reace a revised drawing of how I would like mine, with the kitchen facing out the passenger side, and keeping all the tall bulky stuff to one side (as the bath was already there), opening it up to the back more. This is something we tend to do in kitchen design too, keeping the bulky stuff together. Part of the reason he had it drawn the way it was, is there was tall cabinet on both sides for roof support. Doing it the other way he had to add the gable beside the bed for roof support, but he went ahead and listed it as a plan B. Pretty much everyone wanted this layout, so Reace dropped the first one.

Tammy jokingly said the B is for Bennett. :)

We tow the 19' Escape with a regular cab and full sized bed 2012 Tundra and do not need a WDH or sway control. The Tundra also has the towing package.

Thank you Jim! I've always felt that the 19 was a revolutionary trailer in the Trillium/Escape history books outside and in. Just a bit larger in EVERY dimension vs. the ancestors. Now I know who to thank for the some for the "Big Rig Comfort" I'm enjoying ;D

Don that was an equalizer hitch. The fellow at Escape didn't think I needed it either, but I thought it was cheap insurance depending on what I encounter during any of our trips

sokol, thanks. I didn't think I would need it. But I still may get it on the build, probably the Anderson setup, so if I ever sell the rig it will be all ready.

Inside

Well here are some photos inside our new 19' after we got her safely tucked away in the garage.
