Prior proper planning prevents piss poor performance
I learned this a long time ago and it has helped me a lot throughout my life. Today I found an old Navy clock I had absconded while in the service and decided to clean it up and hang it in the Escape. It is a wind up 24 hour clock and is very heavy and needed to be screwed in place, so I decided on the bath reinforced wall facing the bed. High or low, left or right, I finally decided on a place to mount, mid way towards the front edge.
I have previously decided that around the bed will be soft red night lights vs the newer blue leds which I have around the dinette for various items. I found this neat plug in 12v lighter flashlight that emits a red spot night light and have it plugged in the 12v over the bed. The red light was pointed up to the ceiling. Tonite I went out and rotated it around and viola, the spot light now shines directly onto the clock face on the opposite wall, allowing one to tell the time in the dark. This was probably more luck than planned, but the end result is the same, perfection! Too dark for pictures but will post daylight photo's tomorrow.
