The Great Wasp Fight or How Many Nests Has Your Escape Had

Iam sure we all have this fight every year when prepping for the start of camping season. Last year I had 3 nests probably typical propane cover, ac cover and the non typical in my mind the sink vent pipe . Which was pretty large had to fish it all out with long pliers. This year I had 4 nests propane cover again, slinky pipe, rear hitch tube and in the refrigerator upper vent ..which now has screen behind it after I cleaned the nest out. Thought it would be a way to pass time to see where everyone else gets their nests .

I have never had a bee or wasp nest on my Escape anywhere, though did have this one inside the Trillium I am working on.

And what's to stop them from going under your cover since there's a gap along the bottom?

I've read that screens should be put on over vents and such, but how do you stop them from getting built in other areas, such as under the trailer?

Didn't help putting a cover on my BBQ. If anything it gave the paper wasps and mud daubers privacy to build their nests (two different BBQs). Pull the cover and stand by with spray!

Just finished redoing my roof. Before I finished the 5 gal. bucket was full of mud dabber nests. Probably my fault though, after I built the house it took me, ah, a few years to put the soffits on. Made an easy path and a good home for them.

I've never found any on trailers etc. Just lucky I guess.
