Hello all, long time lurker and beneficiary of the incredible knowledge lodged in these pages. Long time tent Campers my wife, Serena, and I purchased a Go Little Guy Classic Teardrop trailer 5 years ago. Fantastic little trailer but we longed for something we could stand up in to change. This summer we bought a used Escape 13 in very good condition. So good it still had the original tires LOL!

We took it into Escape to get the propane appliances checked and have them re-seal all the windows, vent etc. We felt like minor celebrities as virtually every one in the factory wanted to check out our little 13. They did a great job for a very reasonable price. In addition they threw in a ton of things for us (new levels, new spare tire cover, upgrade the exterior light to LED and mounted the wireless brake controller to the battery box, new wheel hubs, door gasket).

Modest mods so far: new tires, upgraded all the internal lights and added a small hatch to the rear drivers side. Wrestling with the best path for battery upgrade and solar right now. While I built a Kitchen box for now I'm working on designing a rollout kitchen for the passenger side real hatch (I seriously miss the kitchen in the back hatch of the Tear Drop!).

We've been out over a dozen times since we picked it up at the end of July, mostly 2 or 3 night trips along with the traditional fall 5 day trip from Vancouver to Seattle, Vantage (Frenchman Coulee), Mazamas (Klipchuck) then home.

Looking forward to e-meeting many of you, the 2025 Escape Rally in May and many more trips and many more mods in the future.

Bob, Serena and Rosie the dog.

With all the gear on display in your photo, it seems like it's only a matter of time before 2 foot-itis hits, or maybe 4, or 6 foot. Dare I suggest 10 foot-itis?

Enjoy, what you have.

Welcome to the forum.

Virtually every one probably had never seen one. :)

Glad to see another forum member who likes doing mods. We're a dying breed. I'll be interested in seeing the design of your rollout kitchen.

Many thanks. That's what they all said at Escape: "I've heard of them but never seen one".

I almost feel like I already know you and other members because I've read so many of your mod posts! LOL.

We'll see how it goes. . Some time ago I saw another member post a roll out kitchen mod but for the life of me I can't find it.

However I have to solve the power upgrade first!

Cheers

Nice trailer!

Escape's Trillium-based DNA definitely becomes apparent when you look at an E13.....

We were camping a couple of weeks ago along the California Coast and a small (13’) molded fiberglass trailer pulled into the campground. The model was Outback. I let them set up their camp, then walked over and introduced myself. The Outback is made by trilliumtrailers.com out of Alberta, Canada and the mold is exactly like an Escape 13. The young couple picked it up at the factory, just like an Escape, and this was their first time out.
I was previously unaware that Trillium was back in business!

Definitely makes you appreciate Escapes when you start looking at what's optional. Like a screen door and spare tire etc.

Oh we certainly know where you are coming from. We bought our 13B (only 9 13Bs produced - 16 As) new in 2010 from the factory in Chilliwack where we live. Was a real treat. No real build sheet, just a chat across the desk from Tammy with all the things we wanted and didn't want. We definitely have a one of a kind little gem and it gets at least 70-100 visitors at every Rally. Often we are the only 13 there and are very popular. Our first Rally we weren't even unhooked from the truck when 8 visitors appeared and it continued for the rest of the Rally. Be prepared. We will be at the 2025 Rally and look forward to meeting you.

Hard to say, the earliest known Trillium 4500 is a 1976-1977. Surfside started production in 1977. All I know is Reace started by using a Surfside trailer that he hacked up to make the Escape 17' mold.
