I have posted when asked what tire pressures I run on the Highlander when towing. I run 41.5 psi rear and 40.0. After experimentation when I buy new tires I settle on the pressures I like. It changes with tread patterns, sidewall stability, gross weights etc. I believe that if you concentrate on the feel of the vehicle in whatever situation, you can sense some very subtle handling changes. Maybe it’s just me but it works for me and has for a lot of years. Low tires cause gas milage to drop. Over pressure tires lack designed traction and can wear tires in the center which isn’t desirable either.
