I have searched online and found numerous posts about these stereos coming on when the weather channel sends an alert. My problem is that the touch pad no longer works. The only pad that responds is volume. And if I touch that, the thing turns on, cycles through all modes 4 or 5 times, then turns itself off for a minute--then turns on and starts the cycle over again. I can turn it on and off with the remote, but if I put my hand near the surface while it is on, it starts cycling again. I called the company, but never got anyone to answer the phone. I was pretty happy with it until this started about a month ago. I suppose I can take it out and replace with a Jensen or something else higher end. But all I wanted was something to listen to the news and play cd's and my Ipod.
Any of y'all heard of this problem and a fix?

Haven't had any issues with ours but since I was aware of the "weather band issues" from other RV posts, I contacted the manufacturer and requested the manual before we even got our trailer so we had a heads up to it's operation.

The manual can be found at this link:

www.lippertcomponents.com/OwnersManuals/misc/9-8-10-Touch%20Audio.pdf

If you're still having an issue, I'll try to track down the email sender I conversed with in regards to the Touch Audio system.

Thank you.
I could not find the manual, so had not got to the part about killing all power. I used the batter cutoff, but evidently there is a backup wire so as not to lose memory presets. I pulled the harness loose, and when I plugged it back in--everything works!

Hi: captmath...Way to go...that's my kind of fix!!! Alf

Just an FYI on the early version of the Touch Audio....

If it acts up, open the CD door and there is a reset button.
