My tow vehicle is a Dodge diesel 3500 single wheel with heavy duty springs. Would it be too rough on a 21' Escape? I appreciate any information any of you may have. Thank you for your input. James

It may be overkill, but will definitely work.

When I had a Ford F350 PowerStroke, I used it for direct hauls a lot of the time, as when towing through mountains it got about the same mileage towing as my Honda Pilot, and performed better. On longer trips where which would see us running about a lot without the trailer, the Pilot was the go to.

If you already own the vehicle, give it a go. The trailer will outlast it by a long shot, and you can decide what might work better later.

Looking at it from a different angle, the Escape trailers are well-built and can take a bit of "shaking and stirring". The two fibreglass "tubs" are bonded together and the frame is now 4" steel.

I'll stop there and let someone on a keyboard explain better.
