I purchased a cover from Calmark and am quite happy with it.

I have used the Escape supplied cover for the last two Oswego winters (100" + of snow) and the wind has "flapped" it enough to wear through the lower front corner of it. Not sure I'll go to the trouble of trying next time I'm here for the winter, which, hopefully won't be this winter - I'm heading south!

I had Calmark send me a sample of the Sunbrella fabric they use for their covers. When it arrived I was a bit disappointed as it seemed quite thin and not really durable looking. For the price they were going to charge (over $600) for the Escape 19' cover, I am really wondering if this is good value. Anyone else on this forum have any recent cover successes with a less expensive product?

We ordered one off eBay for less than $100, and it is as good as the original $600 one we got from Escape, which lasted 2 winters. Just be sure tp pad any corners such as the TV antenna and solar panel if you have one.

I picked up a cover for my 19' from RV Covers for $183 plus shipping. Delivery was about a week and the quality seems good. Fit was not bad but the cover was a bit big. Here is my 19' after a bath and again when all tucked in under the covers and ready for bed.

I tried covering the tanks but the fit was not great. Will try this and see how it works out. In any case, I am not terribly concerned about keeping the plastic propane tank cover out of the weather.

On the RV Cover site the list price for a 16 - 18 foot cover is $184.99 and the 18 - 20 is $204.99
Did you get the 16 - 18 cover or have they raised their prices? Looks like a decent fit.

The dimensions they give on their covers is the body size, and does not include the hitch/coupler. Thus a 16 ft cover will fit the 19 ft Escape.

Dave, do you think that the 14-16' size would work if yours was too big? We don't have a storage bin to cover.

After polishing our trailer up this fall for the first time since new, and seeing my wife did most of the work, she is pushing for me to get a cover for it.

Jim, mine is the 14 - 16 ft cover. As I mentioned, they measure by body size which does not include hitch and coupler.

Be aware that if you buy from this company, shipping charges to Canada are added to the sales fee and they ship by UPS, so brokerage fees get added on at delivery. The cover comes in a huge box, so in hindsight, the shipping charges (about $75) are not too crazy. The brokerage fees were about $45, and as always, really burn me.

Maybe it is possible to get a better deal locally, but winter was coming and I was tired of looking, so I just bit the bullet and ordered it.

If they only ship UPS, I will look elsewhere. It is not just the exorbitant brokerage fees, but a matter of principle to me. UPS triple charged us one time, and it took my wife ages to get just one part of the extra charges back, and we still ended up abandoning our quest having still paid double.

Hi: Jim Bennett... Sounds like UPS is run by GMen and they have you and your Escape covered. I prefer no cover charge at all...just some sunblock for Florida!!! Alf

I use the same Escape provided cover only mine is for a 17 footer. When covering, unzip all zippers.
Start with a clean dry camper!!
Start at the front, and from a step ladder gather all you can of the cover and push it as far aft as you can. Then gather more and push that aft as well.
Go from side to side and pull down gathered material
If your 5th is dry you should be able to slide/slip the cover to an area near the rear.
Move ladder to the rear and pull/slip down.
If you have a solar panel, place an over sized piece of dense foam with "softened" edges on top to protect cover from sharp edges. Cover or protect you hot water tank flange too and/or any other sharp edges.
I use 4 separate pieces of cord to connect the D rings on the underside to allow the cover to billow in the wind.
This cover is now in its 4 year with no wear marks or tears.
It takes about 20 min for me to do it solo.

I found I wasn't using our trailer cover as much as I likely should due to the amount of time/effort it took to put it on/take it off. I mocked up a couple of wooden arms (think upside down U) that pivot from near the trailer wheels that lift the cover up and over the roof and then drop it down on the trailer. It worked! Apart from a few minor adjustments I may not make a metal version. You would obviously have to scale it up for your trailer but it's something to consider.

Has anyone tried the covers available at Camping World? Our climate in Victoria is mostly rainy, some wind but only rarely snow/ice. We are thinking that the Designer Series SFS Aqua Shed Travel Trailer RV Cover - Up to 15' - ADCO 52238 - RV Covers - Camping World may be an option for our 19. Sale price $165.
