About 4yrs ago, I picked up a cover for my 19' from Camper Covers Online for $183 plus shipping (this cover was about 25% to 30% of the cost of a Calmar cover at that time). Delivery was about a week and the quality was quite good. Since purchase, it has been used for about 6 months of the year for 4 yrs in northern Alberta winter conditions with very little wear. Fit was not bad but the cover was a bit big. Here is my 19' when all tucked in under the cover.

I do have a Calmar cover that came with my recently acquired 15B, so I will soon be able to make a direct comparison between the two covers.

I have spent a good deal of time in your neck of the woods as well. I used to work for a large company and would often travel to the home office in 1000 Oaks. They offered me early retirement when they closed the Seattle site. I still consult with them time to time.

Did the winterizing of the water systems on my Escapes a couple weeks ago and then did a late season solar install on the 15B last week. Yesterday I gave them both a wash and this morning I put the covers over both. The 19' has an Expedition cover and the 15B has a Calmar cover. Took me about one half hour to install both by myself. The trick is to pre fold them so that you can place the cover on the center of the roof, and then unfold it into place. Here are a few pics.

Agree, I fold and roll mine up in the spring so that I can unroll it from the drivers side rear. The height of the fifth wheel makes it a bit more challenging.

Climbing on roof to secure cover?

We bought a polypro 3 overdrive cover for our 19’. The instructions say it is a two person job and one of us has to get on the roof to complete the job. Has anyone gotten on the roof, and would there be a weight limit you’d recommend? This is not a skookum cover, but we’re hoping it will do the job.

We have an Adco cover rated for 15-18 foot and I can install it myself if there is little breeze. Wind, forget it, it becomes an exercise in futility.
I find the front of the cover, roll it inside out and from the rear using a ladder get it far enough up on the trailer to stay in place then using the ladder work my way down the sides to the front unrolling it.
So I do not need to get on top

As the others have said; absolutely not necessary to get on the roof.

A good step ladder, like the Little Giant, makes it easier. The higher you are, the easier it is to use a something like a broom, if necessary, to move it or help it over a vent etc.

has anyone bought a non custom cover for a 5.0 TA if so what size brand would you recommend? I'm thinking of ordering one from camping world. Adco cover?

Yes we have the air conditioner.
I have it adjusted to where it also covers the tires and the front all the way to the propane tank. I suspect the next size down would also fit as I still had extra cover in the rear even with it covering the spare. This one would easily fit the 21 too.
I used pool noodles to protect a few spots where it could rub. Under the door the steps have edges that would quickly wear a hole in it and the hatch has a small pull that can work its way through. The rest of it is well rounded so it should never cause an issue. Which is a big plus for a fiberglass trailer. My previous trailer had spots all over it that could cause tearing.
The first picture shows the passenger side with one zipper opened and the underside straps loosened. If I had unzipped the next one towards the front I could easily access the door.
This has been on and off since April in Florida and is holding up fine.

If you have Dollar stores they always seem to have them. We stopped at a few in various places in the states and always saw a box of them. They are so useful. You can fill the spot in the bed by the window with a piece. Put behind the back cushions for the dinette they tilt them. Cut a piece and stick it in your microwave and it protects the glass plate. Slip your torque wrench in one so it does not rattle around. And on and on.

ADCO cover for classic 5.0 TA

Good morning,
I’m considering a cover for our 5.0 TA - are the ADCO covers all made to order with my measurements, or would they have a “stock” model that fits?
