Trailer Cover

The Adco for mine would fit lengthwise. Would the straps adjust to fit it under the front portion? I do not know. As you can see from the picture of the one on mine it is designed for a standard trailer not one with the shape of the TA 5.0's front part.

I ended up picking up a prior year discontinued ADCO cover with the Tyvek roof here:

Pics of the install.
The cover is too large by at least 3ft in length and a foot or more too wide/tall. Size was the smallest available of this model for a fifth wheel, for trailers up to 23 ft. We ran out of daylight today, but I’m going back to see if I can keep it off the ground and use it for this winter.

Escape 21 Trailer cover

Does anyone know whether the covers sold by ETI for the Escape 21 will cover the storage box as well as the trailer? Also, does anyone have any experience with one of these covers, especially with an Escape 21?

I see that I can get it on Amazon for $300 Canadian, delivered, which is $60 less than picking it up from ETI. This is still about $100 more than I payed for my Elite Auto cover that served me well for the past 4 winters, but that cover isn't looking too great now and needs replacing. I can't find the Elite Auto cover or I would just get another of those. It covered the trailer end to end, including the back bumper and the front hitch. We don't get wind where it is parked, so the extra fabric wasn't an issue.

Our fits over the storage box. This is the first winter in storage but the cover seems well built. The solar also works through the cover, i just have to go there occasionally and sweep the snow off. There is a zipper at the doorway for easy access inside.

Thanks so much for your answer and the picture. Is your cover Model 0 (16-18 ft) or Model 1 (18-20 ft)? When I asked ETI which cover they used for the Escape 21 I got a verbal Model 1, but the photo they sent me was Model 0 based on the part number on it.

It is a model 0 / 15-18 ft / part # 80-351-303101-RT. It seems like its almost built for the 21, the straps fit around the tires and doorway.

Just my opinion here... I'd not use a poly tarp. If anything is going to grind in grit, it'd be that. It's almost a hard surface.


Compare the feel of a plastic tarp to the Calmark's soft inside surface.

I had a cheap cover, it did exactly as Donna mentions the first winter I had the Escape. Threw it out and got the Calmark. Now that we're traveling in the winters it hasn't been covered for 6 months straight, like the first year, so I don't have a direct comparison. A month here and there, so far so good.

Can you give us an update on this?

I use a Calmark on my 19' and it is a bit of work to get it on over the various vents. I only use it over winter. With a step ladder set up on either side and my wife's help, I start at the back and go from side to side working it over the roof obstacles. Getting it off is much easier and I can handle it solo.

Regardless of the effort, I think it is a great cover and am glad we have it. I particularly like that there is access to the door while the cover is on. It keeps all the mold and debris from growing on the trailer in these wet northwest winters.

Can you give us an update on the Calmark cover? How's it holding up? Any issues with it rubbing on the trailer? Thanks

About 4yrs ago, I picked up a cover for my 19' from Camper Covers Online for $183 plus shipping (this cover was about 25% to 30% of the cost of a Calmar cover at that time). Delivery was about a week and the quality was quite good. Since purchase, it has been used for about 6 months of the year for 4 yrs in northern Alberta winter conditions with very little wear. Fit was not bad but the cover was a bit big. Here is my 19' when all tucked in under the cover.

I do have a Calmar cover that came with my recently acquired 15B, so I will soon be able to make a direct comparison between the two covers.

Can you provide an update on these two covers? How did they compare?

For the past 4 years, I've purchased a low-cost cover ($122 USD) through Amazon. I live near Sacramento, California so mild winters (>35F) and blazing hot summers (>100). It's fairly easy for 1 person to put on (using a step stool and a broom) and very easy with 2 people.
It also easily fits back into its bag, which never fails to amaze me, when not in use. My first cover lasted exactly 2 years. By the time I replaced it, it was worn through in many places but still kept my baby looking sparkling new. My 2nd cover looks like it will last just as long.

I am sure more expensive covers last twice as long and perhaps fit better but for me, the low price outweighs those benefits but again, except for hot summer and fire season (sigh), it's stored outside under temperate conditions.

Also, just curious, what have others with a E19' used? I have a cover, but I'm looking for suggestions for future needs.
A cover capable of covering the forward storage box is preferred.

Classic Accessories Poly3 cover

I bought one of these covers but have decided I don't need it. It sells for $175 on Amazon. It's the model that fits my 19' Escape, the PolyPRO 3.

If anybody here wants it, I'd sell it for $125 plus shipping. It's never been taken out of the box.
