My wife and I are picking up our new-to-us Escape 17B on Saturday and the place where I want to store it is going to be almost impossible to back the trailer into. I was wondering what kind of experiences people have had using trailer dollies. The location has a very slight downward grade but is asphalt that’s in pretty good condition. The reviews of the trailer dollies appear to be all over the map . . .

You're lucky. The 17 is a single axle and it's quite easy to move around compared to tandem axle trailers. It pivots very easily by comparison. I went to a power dolly only after I went to tandem axle trailers.

I'd recommend that you try a manual dolly first. That depends on a person's physical condition but two average people wouldn't have any difficulty maneuvering a 17 on a smooth almost level area.
