For those who have a U dinette, did you go with your slider going for and aft or side to side? Or did you find it necessary to get the Daycor?

Ours goes side to side. With the Dicor slide you need to also have a Springfield pedestal. Most with Springfield opt to just use the stock ETI supplied slider and it works fine for them. Having used that on a previous trailer I did not like it personally as it just felt wobbly. To be fair that was with a stock dinette and a larger/heavier table than one used with a U-dinette. Try the Springfield with stock slide first - you can always add the Dicor later as you will have to cut down the Springfield table mounting platform at that time for the Dicor to work.

Right- of course you don't need the Springfield and for someone who wants to be able to remove table cool. We didn't have a table for nearly two years and when seeing one on a Springfield we decided to make a smaller table and wanted the Springfield to avoid the PITA of using those twin stock poles to put up and break down the table into a bed.Why do you need a Springfield pedestal if all you want is the Dicor slide?.

Initially, I installed the Springfield pedestal and used the ETI slide in a for and aft orientation, which allowed easier access. However, after a couple of trips, we decided to install the Dicor slide, which we greatly prefer. The Dicor slide makes using the table easier, plus improves the access to the storage under the seats.
Dave have you gotten it put in yet? We may need some instruction. We had no directions also.Tried the ETI slide with Springfield pedestal for two weeks - ordered Dicor slide today.

Do your partner and you find yourselves pushing the table back and forth to claim more space to lounge?![]()
Curious- is that what you do with a stock slide?
We just compromise and leave it in the middle, pretty much.
Put on the Dicor slide today and love it. The top plate of the Springfield pedestal, as noted by others, is too large to fit the Dicor slide. Rather than cut it I removed it from the pedestal completely and bought two 16 guage 12" x 12" sheets of weldable steel from Home Depot. Cut these into two 6" strips (yielding four pieces) then cut each to about 8 1/4". I stacked the four of these together to make a new top plate for the pedestal. Clamped them together and drilled all the appropriate holes and put it all together. Works great! THE range of motion is very good and stability is better than with the ETI slide system.
