ukulele

UkuleleMark is a member here on the EscapeForum and has a 5.0TA in the pipeline. Wowser can he play! Great all around entertainer. He entertained us at the Oregon Gathering several years back.

I bet he'd really encourage your learning! Me too.
Thanks Donna, I'm really looking forward to this year at Q. A good number of folks have expressed interest in My Ukulele workshop. I'd be fun to have everyone join in and share their music talents during the nightly jams around our 5.0TA ( no name yet)

I went with Luna TC MAH Tattoo Concert. They do the setup before shipping it to you. Have had it for 8 months or so, so far so good.

The guy who runs the sort of local Uke club has about a dozen of them he lends out to beginners. Doctor Uke's Waiting Room
Hey Bob, glad to see you're in the Ukulele family. I'm very familiar with Dr Uke, good guy. Are you coming to Quartzite?i am on Tour this year and will be in your neck of the woods late Summer /early fall. I'll be teaching Ukulele workshops and small concerts along the way around the circumference of the US of A. It's gonna be fun.check out my website
markbakermusicaz.com. Hope to see you in Quartzite.

Is anyone able to recommend a good beginner ukulele?
Hi Chapitre, I'd recommended any Ohana Ukuleles. They are an excellent choice and price point. You should check your local Music store. Also my friend Mims Ukulele on the web.
BTW. My good friend, mentor and teacher James Hill lives in Turo. Between he, Susanne Done and Chalmers Done, you have some the the finest teachers in the World right in your back yard. Lucky you. Check them out and get some lessons!!

Hi Mark,

Do you know dates/time/cost yet for the Quartzite workshops?
Hi Ginger, I'm thinking Workshops on both Thursday and Friday. Not sure of cost but it will be highly discounted. I'm thinking $10.00 for an hour or $15.00 for a two hour workshop. My preference is the Two hour wk. Wecan get alot more accomplished.

We watched James Hill perform in the Langley Ukulele Chorus under Peter Luongo several times a few years back. That group was spectacular, as was James in his solos. The Langley group continues to wow audiences under Peter Luongo's son, now a music teacher in the Fraser Valley. Besides James and Mark, check out this groups performances in BC and usually once a year in Hawaii, where they are equally popular.

To be clear, this is not James soloing in this YouTube clip.
