1. Because of Foriegn Transaction fees on the Visa we have, we got a Capitol One Visa and have had no fees. We visit Canada twice a year, so this card will mean carrying less cash then also.
2. Last week John took papers to Michigan Secretary of State to register and get title. (Anxiously awaiting our 19' arrival in two weeks). John asked if we had to pay taxes on the transportation cost. They called Lansing office and No, we did not. Saved us $90.
Each state could be different, but ask!
The packet we received in mail from Escape had everything they required for registration.
3. Michigan has option of yearly or permanent liscene plate. We chose $200 permanent. Maybe when our son inherits our Escape, he'll still use this one!
